MC #009 Worldpackers: Permaculture, Eco-property, Coastal Living, Or Yoga Guy
For the first six weeks here in Brazil I’ve been living pretty comfortably – housesitting a Pousada (Bed & Breakfast) in the South of Brazil. I’ve met some pretty awesome people so far – been sick & itchy – and found some interesting environmental stories to follow up on, interview people about, and research.
But the owner has arrived home now and I don’t want to wear out my welcome. It’s time to move on to the next step of “Chapter Two: Amazon Warrior.”
I’ve been leafing through the overwhelming number of “work-for-accommodation” projects on www.worldpackers.com for things that might tie in with the goals for Chapter Two which were…
- Learning Portuguese
- Learning Capoeira
- Publishing 12 articles about the environment (in particular, The Amazon)
The Worldpackers projects are all over Brazil – and range from building ecologically sustainable septic tanks, to installing irrigation on permaculture farms, or writing blogs for hostels or nature reserves.
